dsWhen fitting an exterior mirror on the door, care should be taken to ensure that it is not within the swivel range of the opening window and that it is fitted in such a way that the driver(s) do not have a good view in the limit range of the mirror setting when sitting in the correct position. If a mirror is also to be fitted on the right-hand side, the mounting point should be the same as on the driver's side. It is best to mask off the area where the mirror is to be fitted with masking tape before drilling the door and mark the optimum position when the driver is sitting in the vehicle. Then the tape will protect you during drilling in case you slip off.
